9 Months! and Cheating...

I'm super duper late on this… I know. Cali turned 9 months almost 2 weeks ago and between the move and freezing our butts off, I've failed in my mommy picture taking duties. Not only am I posting these late but…

I never even took a 9 month photo shoot.

I know.

I'm horrible. 

Like I said, maybe one of these days I'll get it together. Until then, this is what we're stuck with. I went back through my phone and just tried to pick out some pictures that were taken within a week of her 9 month "birthday" and that's what I'm going with. The ones in the crib were taken on the actual day but all of the others I just tried to pick pictures that capture the little human that she is these days.

Which of course is a handful.

A cute, adorable, stubborn, toothless, handful.

These may (definitely) qualify as the worst pictures ever but it is what it is, ya know?

8 Month Pictures

It's been a bit crazy for the last week between traveling and Thanksgiving and visitors. Cali has handled it like a champ but I think that it all caught up with her today because she took a 2 1/2 hour nap!

She turned 8 months old on Thanksgiving and I let the day pass without even acknowledging it! We spent half the day in Alabama and then traveled to Georgia and by the time I realized the date, it was Friday. So technically I took these late but that's par for the course. 

Without further ado…

She stone faced me the entire photo shoot until T came home. So I had to have him stand behind me so I could actually get a smile from her but then the challenge was keeping her from lunging towards him!

I am so so so blessed to have her in my life and these past 8 months have been some of the best ever. Looking forward to many more!

7 Months!... and a Nap Strike

Here we are yet again.

I'm not quite sure how it's happening without my permission but Cali keeps getting older. 7 months!!! I can't believe it. Watching her grow and learn every day is so exciting and watching as she learns new milestones is my favorite part of the day! Lately she's been trying to pull up on things (which I'm TOTALLY not ready for) and she can completely sit up from the crawling position. She has quite the feisty attitude and will definitely let you know when she doesn't like something. She doesn't cry when she can't have her way... she yells at you. Like, banchee scream. We took her to the park the other day and put her in the swing for the first time and SHE LOVED IT. It was a lot of fun.

Also, she decided to celebrate her 7 month birthday with a nap strike. She decided to skip all but one yesterday. But she followed it up with sweet potatoes so it's a wash.

I guess.

Anyways, on to the good part... the pictures. I'm finding that I'm getting less and less good ones these days because the little rascal doesn't ever stop moving so I apologize in advance. I set up a "backdrop" for the pictures and she stayed on it for all of 30 seconds. Most of these pictures were taken as she's lunging for my camera strap.

This is her determined face. She gets it a lot.

                                     

So there ya go. Any time you see her reaching for something or looking away from the camera, it's the camera strap. As soon as she locked in on it, the photo shoot was done for. Which was right after it started.

Oh well. She's cute so she's forgiven.
